Partners for the Common Good (PCG) (www.pcgloanfund.org) is a national community development organization with a mission to advance economic justice and racial equity among low-income people and people of color by partnering with and strengthening financial institutions that bring capital, create opportunity, and build wealth in communities. We operate as a wholesale loan participation network with CDFIs across the United States.

POSITION SUMMARY

PCG seeks a creative candidate for the position of Graphics and Digital Communications Associate. The Associate will lead graphics work as well as support internal and external communications strategies, including news media. The position will also support member education, programming and impact analysis functions.

This position reports to the Chief Marketing and Impact Officer, and works also at an enterprise-wide level, to include our public policy arm, Community Development Bankers Association (www.CDbanks.org). Applicants should expect to work in a collaborative and fast paced environment on a small team. This is a full-time 40 hour per week position that includes a competitive salary and good benefits. The position is located at PCG/CDBA’s headquarters in downtown Washington, DC.

We are seeking to hire for a position beginning in the summer of 2022. Recent college or Masters graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead digital marketing, branding, communications efforts; and impact storytelling efforts, to include data analytics reporting.
• Lead graphic design for projects such as corporate and product one-sheets, annual reports, website, fliers, invites, banners, social media posts that highlight the mission-driven lending case studies
• Write content, design graphics for and project manage content for website, social media, newsletters, annual reports, etc.
• Take photos and video for publications
• Support event planning for conferences, webinars, and other events, including marketing, speaker engagement, and logistics
• Support PR, media and other stakeholder outreach and engagement
• Build, maintain, and utilize Salesforce database of contacts
• Collaborate with the Impact reporting team and/or CDBA team on special projects
• Other duties as assigned
• Occasional travel, COVID-19 pandemic conditions allowing.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graphic design skills using the Adobe Creative Cloud software suite, Adobe Premiere Pro and InDesign to produce marketing materials
• Digital media content and marketing skills, e.g. website, newsletters, and social media to include creation, management and editing
• Impact storytelling skills to produce newsletter and annual impact reports include interviewing, copy writing and editing
• Video production and/or photography skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good interpersonal, networking, relationship management, and customer service skills
• A proactive self-starter with the ability to multi-task, excellent time management, organizational skills and attention to detail
• A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in graphic design, communications, digital marketing, film, photography, journalism, public policy, political science, urban studies, economics, or business administration

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED (BUT NOT REQUIRED) SKILLS:
• Event, PR and project management experience
• SEO skills
• Podcasting experience to include writing and production
• Salesforce or similar customer relationship management (CRM) system
Mailchimp or similar
• Interest in impact communications, nonprofits, community development and/or financial services

COVID-19 CIRCUMSTANCES:

PCG is adhering to CDC, state, and local orders with regard to COVID-19. Since summer 2021, staff has been gradually transitioning from remote work to in-person at our physical offices. We are closely monitoring the recommendations of health officials to protect the health and well-being of all staff. Applicants are strongly encouraged to be in the DC, MD, or VA area to be able to work in-office.

To date, PCG has not instituted a vaccination policy. All staff, however, have been fully vaccinated from COVID-19. Therefore, PCG prefers a candidate who is also fully vaccinated. Consideration may be given, however, to those who have documented medical or religious reasons for not receiving the vaccine.
