Position Summary

The Manager of Impact and Research is an enterprise-wide role that will coordinate all aspects of research of critical data points, including data collection, data management, analysis and reporting (Impact Management and Measurement) needed to support organizational strategies, programs and industry policy standards. This role will report to the Chief of Investments & Impact (CIIO).

Major Responsibilities

Impact Measurement, Program Evaluation & Research

• Manage all aspects of data collection, management, analysis, and reporting needed to support the implementation of organizational impact measurement strategies.

• Coordinate collection of annual impact data and preparation of impact reports.

• Manage the capture, digital storage, and reporting of data metrics.

• Manage other aspects of IMM, such as data quality assurance, the collection of qualitative data and the application of further investigations and use of data for learnings within the organization.

• Use qualitative analysis methods to understand the impact data gathered and to report on patterns, findings, and themes in the information obtained.

• Coordinate with the lending and program team members to evaluate prospective opportunities for alignment with impact and programmatic goals and collection of surveys and data on program outcomes.

• Develop webinars and training materials on impact measurement and program evaluation topics for external constituents.

• Make recommendations for continuously improving impact data collection and assessment tools and methodologies.

• Collect, review independent research on community development finance sector and advise how that research can strengthen PCG’s efforts to advance high-impact projects.

Communications & Fundraising

• Assist members of the fundraising team in writing and preparing grants, funding proposals and reporting.

• Manage required compliance reports to Federal funding agencies by tracking grant performance and impact data.

• Assist marketing team in developing impact-focused communication materials for external audiences on social media, website, and partner focused webinars

• Assist members of marketing team in producing data and stories for external communications to stakeholders, including borrower profiles, annual Impact Report, and specialized reports for targeted stakeholder groups.

• Identify audiences and develop strategies for external dissemination of market-relevant information derived from research analysis

• Assist in creating and disseminating materials highlighting the research and analysis results regarding CDFI bank impact.

Qualifications Experience

• Bachelor's Degree required with 3-5 years of experience in a research capacity with a strong interest in impact investment, community development, and/or financial services. Must be familiar with the grant writing process.

• Masters degree in applied economics, data management, or related field preferred.

• Qualitative and quantitative research or data science experience a plus.

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage, multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• A proactive self-starter with the ability to multitask, excellent time management and organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Expert ability to source complex data from varying sources and undertake the necessary analysis and interpretation to inform impactful recommendations.

• Strong knowledge and experience with program evaluation, impact data collection, monitoring and evaluation.

• Ability to effectively process and analyze data and respond with appropriate strategies and tactics.

• Exceptional attention to detail, strong technical skills, including qualitative and quantitative research skills, and ability to work with large data sets in Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent analytical and data skills. Experience developing/administering online surveys.

• Excellent written and verbal presentation and communication skills; ability to present arguments and analysis.

• Strong technical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel). Familiarity with Salesforce CRM is a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position will be based in Washington, DC with some travel required. Hybrid work environment (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in office; Monday and Friday optional remote work). This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and equipment. Local (DC, MD and VA) candidates preferred.

Compensation:

Competitive salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $70,000 - $85,000. Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability coverage available. Retirement plan (employer matching and profit sharing); paid vacation, sick leave days, and holidays. Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
