Charlotte-Mecklenburg Housing Partnership

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Housing Partnership (CMHP) needed financing to construct six single-family, affordable housing units in the Druid Hills neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina. Partners for the Common Good worked with Community Housing Capital to support CMHP’s project that will restrict three of the initial six residences to families at or below 80% of Area Median Income.

CMHP is a nonprofit housing development and financial corporation with a mission to expand affordable housing and promote stable neighborhoods for low and moderate-income families in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. CMHP is committed to continued collaboration with neighborhood partners, local government, and the private sector in promoting and developing economically integrated neighborhoods. Over 25 years, CMHP has counseled more than 17,000 moderate- and low-income families and supported more than 2,200 homeowners.

PCG partnered with Community Housing Capital to provide a $725,000 revolving loan to provide affordable single-family homes that will increase the long-term wealth and financial security of local families.
