Ethan Kahwaty is the Programs and Membership Associate at the Community Development Bankers Association (CDBA), where he supports member engagement, program development, and initiatives that advance community development finance.

Ethan is a graduate of The George Washington University, where he earned degrees in Marketing and Political Science. His academic background, combined with hands-on experience in public service, marketing, and community engagement, equips him with a unique perspective on economic development and financial inclusion.

He previously interned for former Congressman Brian Higgins, gaining insight into legislative processes and public policy. His marketing expertise was further refined as a TikTok Studio Intern for Streetsense Marketing LLC, where he contributed to digital strategy and content creation. Ethan has also served as a Community Manager for District Offices and a Youth Services Specialist for People United for Sustainable Housing (PUSH Buffalo).

In his free time, Ethan is an actor and comedian who loves to perform!
